Woodn.co.uk is a wood artisan site run for hand crafted items turned on a lathe by Paul Alford.

Paul has been making items from wood for over 50 years.  As more and more people want Paul to make bespoke quality items from pens to extremely ornate craft items he has stopped making structural items from oak and now concentrates on items turned on a lathe.  Paul only uses quality woods and precision machined components so has made quite a select following.  Paul is proud to be one of the select few wood turners in the world to be able to offer Bock fountain pen nibs directly from Peter Bock, who are one, if not the best manufacture of fountain pen nibs in the world.  The items made are not the standard run of the mill products which can be purchased at a shop as a lot of time and preparation takes place even before putting the gouge to the wood.  The items Paul makes are only able to be purchased through this website.  Only items hand crafted by Paul are sold on this website which are always bespoke and made to order so the photos are for reference as an example of what you would expect, if you ordered an item.  If you would like to order an item please be aware this is a hand crafted item so do not expect it the next few days as it will be made for you specifically and you will have to wait until a production slot is available.  You can always request an estimated delivery date on our contact us page. 

On larger pieces Paul will sign and date the item with a message you request.  A certification of authenticity will be provided with every item as manufactured by Paul Alford with a serial number for traceability.  Every item will be marked by a serial number and a record kept of who purchased it in case of loss.
